Sebawit G. Bishu
Sebawit G. Bishu is a public management scholar whose research explores the intersection of public management and social equity. Her work examines how organizational processes and service delivery outcomes are shaped by societal, organizational, and individual-level drivers. Her research interests lie in the fields of public management, organizational studies, and public policy. Her most recent work focused on factors that drive gender equity in leadership in public organizations. She has examined how social norms, organizational culture and individual choices drive women’s career progression into leadership. Her ongoing work explores formal and informal organizational processes that drive organizational gender equity and the implications of organizational gender equity on the performance and competitiveness of public organizations.
Sebawit G. Bishu is an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado Denver, School of Public Affairs (SPA). She received her Ph.D. from Florida International University in Miami, Master of Public Administration from Old Dominion University in Virginia, Master of Science in Architecture and Urban Planning from Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia, and Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Urban Planning from Addis Ababa University.
